You, lightness...
you come in January
when I need you most
you sing me to a place
I need to be
you remind me that being paper
is better than being stone
you challenge me to keep you near.
You, lightness
stay with me now, remind
me, whisper in my ear
Tune me up at twilight
Help me breathe those deep breaths
and take those deep stretches
Make me light as you.
