My energy level was low
I guess it was the hurricane blowing through
And I found myself in a lull
A bit of sadness and the feeling
That the future is full of obstacles.
I had to drive to Walgreens
And as I turned onto Summerlin Road
I heard Steve singing “Higher Ground”
And I thought
Why am I mixed in this difficulty
Instead of reaching for joyful healing
And learning on this journey?
It’s like the music was someone
Gently shaking my shoulders saying,
“ Snap out of it!”
